Strachan Family Law

Bringing more wisdom, less conflict to family law.

The challenge

Megan Strachan isn't a typical family lawyer. She's also a Registered Psychotherapist, and she built her practice around resolution over litigation, a genuinely different approach to some of the hardest conversations a person will have. The problem was that nothing about her existing site said that. It looked like every other family law firm's website: intimidating, generic, built for a client who's already decided to fight rather than one looking for a way through.

The brand needed to do something before a single word of copy was read: signal that this practice holds legal authority and human warmth at the same time, without letting either one undercut the other.

The approach

We started with a full audit of her existing Wix site, then rebuilt from the ground up on Squarespace, brand identity, eight service pages, and schema markup.

The identity itself came down to two decisions carrying the whole message. A navy, slate, cognac, and cream palette gives the brand its authority without going cold or corporate. Pairing Cormorant Garamond with Jost gives the voice an editorial, considered quality, serious without being severe.

Every page was then built around how the practice actually runs: virtual, paperless, and designed for real life rather than a traditional law office. The site had to match the practice, not the industry.

The result

A boutique practice that now looks and reads exactly like what it is: expert, human, and worth trusting with the hardest conversation in someone's life.
